Book Hotel in Cappadocia | Cheap Flights to Nevsehir for Cappadocia
When you think of Cappadocia, imagine a breathtaking landscape painted with red sandstone and salt deposits, where the ancient meets the surreal. Located in central Anatolia, Turkey, Cappadocia is not just a place of natural beauty but also a region rich in history and cultural heritage.
How to Get to Cappadocia
Cappadocia is well-connected to the rest of Turkey, making it accessible via multiple travel options, including buses, trains, and flights. However, while buses and flights are the most convenient, there are some nuances to consider.
- By Bus: From Istanbul, Cappadocia is about 10-12 hours away by bus, 8-10 hours from Antalya, and 5 hours from Ankara, the capital. Overnight buses run between major cities like Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara, and Nevsehir, offering a more budget-friendly option.
- By Train: Trains run from major cities like Istanbul and Ankara to nearby towns like Nigde and Kayseri, but they tend to be slow and less comfortable compared to other options.
- By Air: The quickest and most comfortable way to reach Cappadocia is by air. Turkish Airlines (Ajet), Pegasus, operate multiple flights a day from Istanbul to Kayseri (1 hour) and Nevşehir (1 hour). Once you land, it’s a 45-60 minute drive to the heart of Cappadocia.
Once you arrive at Kayseri or Nevşehir airports, you can easily take a shuttle or minibus to your final destination in Cappadocia. Alternatively, you might want to visit Konya on the way, explore the city’s sights, spend the night, and continue your journey the next day.
