If you visit Burgazada island, you will not feel crowded as the island is not so much popular as Buyukada and Heybeli. But you will have nice time at an island close to the main land with fine foods.
Burgaz is the third largest of the Princes’ Islands in the Sea of Marmara. It is in the Adalar district of Istanbul. Burgaz is a common setting and even a major theme for writer Sait Faik Abasıyanık, where he also resided. Today, his residence is kept as a museum.
The island is not so big at all. It consists of a single hill 2 kilometres across. You can even walk around the island but it will take time and some effort at the hills. You can hire a horse carriage to make a tour at the island. The prices are vary to the coice of your tour. I advice you to hire a carriage to tranport to Kalpazankaya restaurant which has great view the sea. But finding a place a the restaurant is hard. You should make a reservation before you arrange your trip to the restaurant. After your meal you can even walk down to your boat about a 2 km walk. It is not so tiring and you mainly go down from the hills. Antoher option is the restaurants at the beach. There are a few fine restaurant side by sides .
